Semi trailer fire closes Eastbound lanes of I-80 near Wanship

WANSHIP, Utah — Shortly after 6:00 pm UDOT reported the Eastbound lanes of I-80 were closed at mile marker 156, Wanship Summit County. The closure is due to a fully engulfed semi trailer fire. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 155 and being turned around. Please avoid the area or use alternate routes. No ETA on reopening. North Summit Fire is on scene.

Update 8:34 pm : A single left lane of Eastbound travel on I-80 is now open at Milepost 155. Traffic is no longer being diverted off of the highway. There will still be delays in the area as only one lane of travel is open. Please reduce speeds for emergency response crews.
