Filmed in New Zealand, Bad Behaviour will make you laugh
PARK CITY, Utah — Jennifer Connelly teamed up with actress, writer, and director Alice Englert to create an unusual and delightful film, Bad Behaviour. Bad Behaviour is a mother-and-daughter rollercoaster journey. The film is unique, dark, comedic, and different.
Jennifer Connelly will make you laugh, cringe, and cry. It’s not her typical ‘leading lady role.’ She plays a distressed mother in search of enlightenment. Her character tries to tackle the cultish vibe of a ‘silent retreat’ in the middle of Oregon. And although her character has a brief bout with violence, it’s powerful to watch and, at times, funny. Connelly typically plays mainstream characters. So, it was enchanting to have her elicit some hysterical laughs.
Her daughter, played by Alice Englert, is on a similar path, trying to find her way in the world. Together, the two characters ultimately find peace; however, the course to discovering it is long, weird, awkward, and at times, creepy.
Bad Behaviour was entirely filmed on-site in New Zealand.
