Stio’s sustainable Environ line, trade-in program, and partnership with POW all for the love of winter

POWDERTOWN, U.S.A. — Some things are simply worth it. The anticipation of the next big storm. The thrill of chasing fresh tracks up the bootpack and skin track. A chance to test our limits, to connect with nature in its purest form, and to pass on our love of the mountains in their quintessential element.

For those who exist for the days between the first autumn dusting and the last big storm, winter is worth it. Stio’s new Environ Collection is sourced from recycled materials and delivers all-mountain performance. The Environ Collection is designed not just for embracing winter but protecting it.

Winner of the Skier’s Choice Award, the Environ Jacket is Stio’s signature waterproof/breathable workhorse and was revamped for 2022 with recycled fabric and improved features, including a forearm RFID pass pocket, Cohaesive™ hood adjust, and a re-engineered powder skirt. The ultimate in all-mountain versatility, the award-winning Environ is your partner for high-speed groomers, hikes to sidecountry summits, and floating through waist-deep powder.

The Environ is constructed with a PeakProof™ 3-layer waterproof/breathable, 100% recycled polyester face fabric. This storm-ready technical jacket features a removable helmet-compatible hood with a laminated brim. Pit zips offer custom climate control when booting or skinning, a built-in powder skirt keeps you dry, and interior/exterior pockets store on-mountain essentials.

The aim of the Environ Collection is to enjoy winter without destroying it, so Stio offsets the footprint of each order through its climate-neutral commitment.

Stio garments are durable, timeless, and perform season after season. Over 50% of the product line incorporates preferred materials, which include organic cotton, recycled materials and responsibly-sourced down. And Stio is committed to growing its preferred materials usage to 75% by 2025.

Lastly, a circular commerce system can eliminate waste and pollution, allowing for used clothing to be renewed and put back into use. Stio Second Turn™️ is a gear renewal program that allows customers to trade in and shop used apparel, keeping perfectly great gear out of the landfill.

Through 12/31 Stio partnered with Protect Our Winters and is matching donations at Stio online checkout until it reaches $10,000. Shop the new Environ Collection in person at 556 Main Street in Park City.
