Star Wars’ Mark Hamill endorses Evan McMullin for Utah midterms

UTAH — Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame tweeted on October 10 that he “likes Evan McMullin SO much, it makes me wish I lived in Utah so I could vote for him!” Evan McMullin is currently running as an independent against Mike Lee for one of Utah’s US Congress seats.

Mark Hamill is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, but has also spent time filming in Utah for films such as the 2017 comedy “Brigsby Bear.” Hamill has recently become more active in political discourse online for a variety of midterm elections, and now has dipped his toe into Utah politics as well.

I like @EvanMcMullin SO much, it makes me wish I lived in Utah so I could vote for him!*
