Deer Valley hosting annual Halloween blood drive
DEER VALLEY RESORT, Utah – This Halloween, in collaboration with ARUP Blood Services, Deer Valley Resort encourages qualified donors to lend a hand by giving blood at their Transylvania Tea Party blood drive.
In support of Utah’s blood banks, the festive tradition will be held on Monday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Snow Park Lodge. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
“We welcome the Park City community and guests to participate in our annual Halloween-themed blood drive to support local blood banks,” said Deer Valley Resort President & Chief Operating Officer Todd Bennett. “Special thanks to our HR staff, along with the ARUP Blood Services team, who are working hard to create a fun, comfortable environment for everyone willing to spare their time and effort to serve their neighbors in need.”
ARUP Blood Services, a unit of ARUP Laboratories, is a business venture of the University of Utah and the Department of Pathology. Shriners Hospital for Children, Primary Children’s Medical Center, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and the University of Utah Hospital all receive their blood exclusively from the organization.
The Deer Valley Transylvania Tea Party will be located at Snow Park Lodge at 2250 Deer Valley Dr., Park City, UT 84060. Costumes are encouraged but optional, and light refreshments will be provided. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments can be scheduled online at arupbloodservices.org using the search code B068.
Donors must be 18 or older (or at least 16 years old with parental permission slip), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, and provide a photo ID. For eligibility guidelines, visit utahblood.org.
