Celebrate fall with Basin Recreation’s October activities
PARK CITY, Utah — If you still don’t have plans on how to make the most of fall this year, look no further: Basin Recreation is announcing two activities you won’t want to miss.
First, on October 20, October 28, and November 5, you can help clean up the busy Run-a-Muk Off Leash Dog Area in Basin Recreation. The clean-ups will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the three days. This event is free and an excellent way to give back to Basin Recreation and help preserve one of our community’s best dog parks.
If you still haven’t taken any social media-worthy fall photos of your canine companion, you are invited to bring them to this clean up. Basin Recreation will provide bags, buckets, and shovels for all volunteers, and volunteers can stay for as long or as short as they like.
Second, Basin Recreation will hold a Trick-or-Treat event titled Celebrate the Spirits on October 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Willow Creek park. According to Basin Recreation, the event is a “family-favorite event perfect for all ages” and will be perfect for those for whom one day of trick-or-treating on the 31 is not enough. Participants can register for $15 each (kids two and under can come for free) and enjoy “festive activities, local vendors, costume contests, and trick-or-treating along the way.” Pre-registered participants will receive a free trick-or-treat bag.
Celebrate the Spirits will be run by Basin Recreation’s Teen Community Club (ages 12-15), which still accepts volunteers. Teens will pass out the candy, leading activity stations, and more.
