SNAPPED: National champion Blue Spruce trees in Ashley National Forest

ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST, Utah — Utah Forestry, Fire & State Lands posted photos of the beautiful 1991 champion Blue Spruce tree on September 26. The tree stands well over surrounding trees at a total height of 129 feet, with a circumference of 192 inches.

The tree was first discovered by Sherrell Goodrich, a Forest Service employee sometime in the 1970s.
