Road closures in Heber City starting next week

HEBER CITY, Utah – Daniels and Southfield roads in Heber City, will be closed for construction beginning next week. Both projects start on Monday, September 19, and construction on both projects is expected to take up to three weeks.

Daniels road will be closed for at least three weeks to allow the construction of the planned roundabout and the 1500 S to U.S.-40 connector road. The contract on the project anticipated a 21-day closure for construction. Expect lane and road closures on Daniels road throughout the next three weeks.

Construction on Southfield road is also supposed to take up to 21 days. The section of the road between 650 S and 1100 S will be closed to facilitate the relocation of the canal, which is a part of the new Kimball Villas development. Local traffic, i.e., Country Meadows Estates and the LDS meeting house, will still be accessible via Southfield Road.

Time tables for both projects are subject to change if there are any unanticipated weather delays or if any other unforeseen issues come up during construction. Heber City has multiple construction projects throughout town, as the sewer lines are being replaced throughout Old Town, as well as repairs and improvements being performed on highway U.S.-40.

Expect lane closures and some traffic for the next few weeks as Heber City finishes construction projects before the winter season.
