USA Nordic names Adam Provost as new CEO

Park City, Utah — USA Nordic Sport (USANS) announced in a statement on Tuesday that Adam Provost has been named the organization’s new chief executive officer.

After an extensive search process, in collaboration with Prodigy Search, the organization chose Provost, who has held numerous leadership, strategic and commercial roles within numerous sports organizations / properties for the last twenty-years.

“I am excited to be part of an organization with such a proud and distinguished history. I look forward to working with this amazing community of clubs and coaches in both Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined as we train and develop our current and next generation of athletes.  I am also inspired to work with our larger community of stakeholders as we look for new opportunities to grow the notoriety of our events and participants.” Provost said in the statement.

Most recently, Provost helped lead the growth of American Football both internationally and domestically with roles as Managing Director of International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and Vice President of Strategy, Revenue, and Partnerships with USA Football.

At USA Football, Provost helped disrupt the decades-long status quo in grassroots football, helping the organization standardize coaches’ education, growth of flag football, and creating new game types (modified games) that resulted in mass adoption among stakeholders, parents, coaches, and players at all levels of the game.

At IFAF, Provost led initiatives including the organization being recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the International Governing Body, and organizing and leading IFAF’s World Congress.

Previously, Provost held positions with Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays, the University of Kansas and the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

“We are all very excited about the appointment of Adam Provost as our new CEO. Adam’s proven track record and extensive experience in sports management, make us all very optimistic that the future looks bright for our organization and the sports of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined,” said Tom Bickner, Chairman of the Board.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Adam’s caliber to lead USA Nordic as we enter our next chapter. Adam is an established leader that clearly set himself apart during our search process. We believe that his background and capabilities align with our strategic vision, and we are confident that his collaborative mindset and team building skills make him the ideal choice as our new CEO,” said Board Member and Chair of the CEO Search Committee, Matt Petri.

Provost plans on moving his family from Indiana to Park City.

The announcement was made in person at last week’s Springer Tournee’s Summer Soiree, where Provost had a chance to get to know many of the families which had gathered in Park City.

Former C.E.O. Billy Demong, who resides in Park City, took the role after winning two Olympic Nordic Combined medals in the Vancouver 2010 Games. He announced he would be stepping down after the Beijing 2022 Olympics.

USA Nordic is headquartered at the Utah Olympic Park.
