Utah Lt. Gov. Certifies Park City’s Southeast Quinn’s Jct. Annexation
PARK CITY, Utah – Park City Municipal received a Certificate of Annexation from the Utah Lt. Governor on Thursday, completing Park City’s long-contemplated annexation of the Southeast Quinn’s Junction area effective immediately.
Park City filed a Notice of Intent on October 8, 2021, to annex approximately 1,200 acres of property. The land is located east of Park City adjacent to SR 248 and includes Park City’s Clark Ranch open space that straddles US 40, south of Quinn’s Junction.
“This annexation ensures that Park City will maintain clear, predictable, and transparent land use authority in the area. I want to give a big thank you to the City team, who worked so diligently on this for years, and to the Planning Commission for their contributions. This is a great moment for Park City and our hard-working and committed residents,” said Mayor Nann Worel in a statement.
The finalization of the annexation is one of the last remaining commitments within the Flagstaff Development Agreement – a 23-year-old negotiated agreement between the City and United Park City Mines that established land use entitlements and restrictions for hundreds of acres in Park City as well as within Summit and Wasatch Counties.
