Deer Valley opens for summer activities on Friday

DEER VALLEY RESORT, Utah — Deer Valley Resort will welcome guests back to the mountains for a summer season full of outdoor activities beginning on Friday. Summer chairlift operations are scheduled to run daily from June 17 through September 5 and then for three additional long weekends, Friday-Sunday, through September 25 as long as weather conditions permit.

In terms of mountain biking, Deer Valley Resort offers nearly 70 miles of mountain bike trails with access from Silver Lake Express chairlift at the base of the resort, Sterling Express located mid-mountain, and Homestake Express also located mid-mountain. Several of Deer Valley Resort’s mountain bike trails also connect with Park City’s extensive 400-mile network of single track.

Other activities include, hiking, Twilight Tuesdays, summer adventure camps, horseback riding, paddle-boarding, shopping, dining, and a list of summer concerts.

Dining options include:

  • Deer Valley Grocery Cafe: Open daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for breakfast and lunch. On July 1, the hours will be extended to 5 p.m. Please note that there will be a four-day closure for renovations from June 27 through June 30 this summer.
  • The Brass Tag: Open from 5:30 to 10 p.m. daily through September 25, located in the Lodges at Deer Valley.
  • Royal Street Cafe: Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through September 6. Located mid-mountain at the Silver Lake Lodge, Royal Street Café offers creative American and international cuisine with scenic deck dining.
  • Snowshoe Tommy’s: Open daily from July 2 through Labor Day, September 5, 2022,  from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Snowshoe Tommy’s offers limited outdoor seating at the top of the Sterling Express chairlift, where individuals can enjoy quick bites, cold beverages and beer. Only dining to-go is available at this location.

Notably, an Ikon Summer Season Pass permits unlimited lift access for biking, hiking and scenic rides without restrictions to those who have purchased either a 22/23 Ikon Pass or a 22/23 Deer Valley Winter Season Pass.
