Park City’s Carson Tabaracci announces commitment to USC

PARK CITY, Utah. — After de-committing from the University of Utah football program last month, 18-year-old Parkite Carson Tabaracci announced his commitment to USC yesterday via his Twitter account.

After originally committing to the University of Utah last fall, Tabaracci decided to enter the transfer portal after a short stint with the Utes during their spring camp. While extremely talented, Tabaracci joined a Utah linebacker room that was overflowing with talent and may not have been able to promise any starting reps to the freshman for some time.

Tabaracci now joins a talented USC team in the midst of an extreme reset. After an abysmal 2021 season with a 4-8 overall record, the Trojans have since hired former Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley, who has brought in a plethora of talent and made USC a potential Pac-12 contender over night.

USC will kick off their 2022 season against Rice University on Saturday, September 3. They will then face the Utes in Salt Lake City on October 15 in what could be a pivotal matchup as the two are projected favorites to compete for a Pac-12 Championship.
