Local Business Spotlight: Soul Street Yoga

PARK CITY, Utah. Seasoned yoga instructor, Edy McConnell, launched Soul Street Yoga in 2019 in response to the restrictions of the pandemic. Now Soul Street Yoga has a dedicated group of yogis who relish virtually attending the twice-weekly classes.

“When the pandemic hit, the studio where I taught yoga, The Shop, closed just like all yoga studios did,” Edy explains, “A friend recommended that I teach online and set everything up for me. So I’ve been teaching yoga online to an incredible group of yogis since then.”

Edy’s favorite part about teaching digital yoga is the community and convenience. “In those early, scary days of the pandemic, having a safe meeting space–although it was through the ether–was a joy,” she says, “Once people started gathering in person more, the Soul Street community still held together, and we realized that we love the convenience of practicing from home or wherever we happen to be.”

Soul Street Yoga offers live, online classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

“The classes are appropriate for most levels with options for making the class more or less intense depending on what you need that day,” Edy describes.

One of the gifts Edy offers each class is a custom playlist. “I make a playlist tailored for each class available to everyone on Spotify,” she says.
