Wanship Trailhead cleanup event rescheduled to May 14
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County will host a community-wide clean-up and celebration of National Trails Day and Earth Day on Saturday, May 14 from noon to 5 p.m. MT at the Wanship Trailhead. It was originally scheduled for April 23.
Food and beer will be available for purchase amongst other activities which include live music by an artist selected by Mountain Town Music, a kids corner with Earth and trails-themed story time and coloring, horses and a beer garden with local brew options from Offset Bier and Park City Brewery for the 21+ crowd. Participants can bring a lawn chair to listen to the band and seating will be limited. Pit toilets will also be available at the trailhead.
Individuals are encouraged to walk or ride their bike along the Rail Trail to get to the event. If individuals must drive, there is limited parking available at the trailhead itself. Additionally, any questions can be sent to mmcdonough@summitcounty.org.
