SNAPPED: lenticular cloud over the Oquirrhs
SALT LAKE CITY — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City showed off a great example of a lenticular cloud over the Oquirrh Mountains on Tuesday morning.
“Lenticular clouds typically form from air being pushed up and over a mountain in a stable environment,” NWS said. “The air then cools and condenses, forming this cloud.
“They often resemble a UFO!”
