Wasatch County SAR rescues two missing snowmobilers in -12 temps

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — Around 7:50 pm on Thursday, Wasatch County Search & Rescue and the Utah Department of Public Safety were deployed to the Strawberry Reservoir area because of two snowmobilers that were supposed to be back by dark.

The pair, a man and a woman both in their 70s, were located on the southwest side of the reservoir in the Squaw Creek area. They were transported to Heber by helicopter, in a mission that lasted 4 hours.
