Calls for service: Police and sheriff logs

Calls for service to the Park City Police Department (PCPD) and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) for the week of December 27 to January 3.

MONDAY:

PCPD – Snow from snow-making machines at Park City Mountain was blown onto the Old Town neighborhood streets creating a traffic hazard.

SCSO – In the Bear Hollow neighborhood, A man reported and provided photos of two unknown men who had gained entrance to the been inside the conference room of the condo’s clubhouse with an access card and were drinking beer inside.
 
TUESDAY:
 
PCPD – A hit-and-run was reported on Park Ave.
 
WEDNESDAY:
 
PCPD – A staff member of the National Ability Center called to report their concern for the safety of 40 to 50 elk that were headed towards S.R. 248/Hwy 40.
 
THURSDAY:
 
PCPD – At the High West Distillery, a 2022 black Cadilac Escalade was reported missing from a side street.
 
PCPD – In the Old Town neighborhood, six cars were buried in the snow on Daly Ave.
 
FRIDAY:
 
PCPD – A call came in from Main St. inquiring about fireworks within the city limits.
 
SCSO – Deputies were dispatched to a fight in progress that was occurring at the entrance of the Walmart. Upon arrival, the two involved individuals were identified as young men from Coalville. After interviewing all involved parties and reviewing video surveillance of the incident it was determined that one of the men had used unlawful force against the other. The two had an ongoing dispute from the past. The aggressor was subsequently issued a citation for assault.
 
SATURDAY:
 
SCSO/Search and Rescue (SAR) was dispatched to assist on a medical call in a cabin in Weber Canyon.
 
SCSO – In the Park City Mountain – Canyons Base area, near the bottom of the Cabriolet Lift, two pairs of skis were stolen from the front yard of a condo where the caller was staying. 
 
SCSO – In the Park City Mountain – Canyons Base area, near the bottom of the Cabriolet Lift, a bag of ski equipment was stolen from the front porch of a condo where the caller was staying.
 
SCSO – In the Park City Mountain – Canyons Base area, near the bottom of the Cabriolet Lift, a snowboard and ski case were stolen from the front porch of a condo where the caller was staying.
 
SUNDAY:
 
SCSO – On I-80 eastbound, deputies were dispatched to a car slide off. The driver was found to have two out of county warrants and was in possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was advised on her warrants and issued a citation for possession of paraphernalia.
