USA wins Para Sport World Cup Bobsleigh Park City race
PARK CITY, Utah — American Robert Balk came out on top of the podium in Monday’s International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) para mono bob race at the Utah Olympic Park. His first run was 55.25 seconds and his second run was 55.78 totaling 1.51.03.
Athletes with disabilities transfer out of wheelchairs then pilot and break a one-person sled that then gets released at the start by a mechanical device.

High winds canceled the second of the two-day race making the one-day results official.
Results were subject to IBSF sled inspection and athlete doping control.
Para mono bobsleigh is not yet a Paralympic sport.
