SNAPPED: Snowcat grooming the Olympic ski jump

Watch the video below of the mesmerizing pace balanced by the stimulating beeps of three-time Olympian Alan Alborn sculpting the snow on the ski jumps with the grooming machine at the Utah Olympic Park yesterday.

This snowcat is connected to a winch cable at the top of the jump.

The hill size (H.S.) 100, aka normal hill, aka 90 meters (m), was constructed for and utilized in the jumping half, which took place hours before the cross-country half, of the men’s Nordic Combined competition of the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

There was no, and still is no women’s Olympic nordic combined.
