Santa Pub Crawl returns to Main Street this Saturday

PARK CITY, Utah — Half toy drive, half Santa bar crawl, the 2021 Park City Santa Pub Crawl is returning to Old Town on Saturday, December 4 after last year’s Covid cancellation.

With the help of digital marketing, founder Rachel Watts was able to grow the annual event, which Watts said started informally in 2010, to roughly 1,800 people in 2019 prior to the pandemic.

There are no cover charges at the participating bars, Watts just asks that people bring a toy or cash donation (toys preferred). The proceeds go to the Christian Center’s Operation Hope.

The party starts at Butcher’s Chop House at 6 pm, then moves to the Downstairs bar, and Main Street’s Barmuda triangle of No Name Saloon, The Cabin, The Spur, and Flanagan’s.

They will also be selling shot glasses at each of the bars to raise additional funds for the Christian Center.

Originally a costume contest, Watts made the switch to the toy drive collect to give a more altruistic feel for the holidays. “It got to be very, very competitive,” Watts said of the costume contest. “Turned a little bit ugly at the end of the night.”
