This is the wettest October in decades

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. — The National Weather Service-Salt Lake City (NWS) said on Tuesday that rain totals for October are 3.48 inches.
Based on NWS records, which date back to the 19th century, that would make this October approximately the sixth wettest of all time.
