Outlet mall supports local art and business
PARK CITY, Utah.— The Outlets at Park City is showcasing local artists in one of its stores as a Utah Arts and Crafts sale between Eddie Bauer and Merrill. They have a rotating group of artists participating on the five weekends in October. Artists present ceramics, weaving, metal sculptures, photography, and more. Find a treasure for yourself or start your holiday shopping.
Kirsten Kohlwey is the manager of the sale which is only there until the last weekend in November. She approached the Outlets with the idea. “At the moment I have 11 artists signed up,” She told me. “We have a wide variety of art and crafts here, there’s something for everybody, from the lower-end pottery, all the way up to high-end watercolors, paintings, and woodturning. Not only do we have national visitors purchasing the items that can ship for them but we actually have had people from other continents come in and pictures are going to Australia.”
Artists include:
- Jenny Terry
- Bill Silliman
- Lone Vilnius
- Jack Karmel
- Robert Johnson
Heather Nash, General Manager of the Outlets Park City, said, “The Utah Arts and Crafts sale is being run by Kirsten, the local artist who brought in all the other wonderful artists to help fill that space. We’re definitely trying to bring in more local flair and offerings.”
Nash told me, “The Outlets have just partnered with the Arts Council of Park City and Summit County and they’re going to do their pop-up for the month of December.”

Regarding recent, well-documented projections of national end-of-the-year holiday item shortages due to supply chair backups, Nash advised that, although the Outlets isn’t experiencing that situation currently, a way people in Park City can remedy that possible potentiality is to shop early for the gift-giving season.
