Local organization offers contrast to PEG rendering of PCMR base
PARK CITY, Utah — The Responsible Resort Area Development Coalition (RRAD), a local organization focused on promoting development that benefits the broader Park City community, has provided TownLift with a rendering of the Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) base that offers a contrast from PEG Development’s representations.
PEG is currently in ongoing talks with the Park City Planning Commission about building on the parking lots that make up PCMR.
RRAD believes that PEG’s rendering inaccurately depicts the topography of the area. At the planning commission meeting last week, several members of the public and commissioners similarly expressed doubts about the visibility of the mountains in PEG’s photo.
The photo was put together by an RRAD member that is an architect.
“We believe [the photo] is a more accurate representation of the impact the heights of the building will have on the view of PCMR,” said Deb Rentfrow, cofounder of RRAD.
It was decided at last week’s meeting that PEG will return to the planning commission with a photo from the same vantage point but from a lower, street-level view.
