The series will include nationally renowned artists in Park City’s hometown indoor event center.

“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the new Chamber Music Series in the Eccles Center than with a combination of a live performance of the music of Beethoven presented with what many believe to be the most iconic film fo the silent-era.” — Ari Ioannides, PCI Executive Director
PCI and PCCMS will present the music of Beethoven meticulously matched to an iconic slant movie “The Gold Rush”. Produced in 1924, this film was acclaimed as one of the most influential films ever produced so much so that the American Film Institute choose “The Gold Rush” as one of the 100 greatest films ever created. Park City locals will be able to relate to the film as it was filmed on location in a ski town during the winter. “The Gold Rush” was popular at the time remains the highest-grossing film of the silent era. The film features iconic scenes including Charlie Chaplin’s character, Little Tramp, eating a boiled shoe, riding a cabin teetering on the edge of a cliff, and dancing with bread rolls stuck on forks.
