Park City Chamber of Commerce appoints three new VPs
PARK CITY, Utah. — The Park City Chamber of Commerce appointed three new vice presidents for three of its divisions — Partner Services, Marketing, and Communications.
“Our professional staff is key to the success of our annual programming and I am genuinely honored to add three exceptional individuals to our leadership team at the Vice President level,“ said Chamber President and CEO, Jennifer Wesselhoff. “We are fortunate to have attracted impressive professionals to fill key leadership roles that will make a difference for our members, our Chamber staff and our entire community.”
Darla Jones will be the new VP of Partner Services for the Bureau. She most recently served as the Director of Member Services at the Davis County Chamber of Commerce.
Laura Carlson will fill the Marketing VP role. She previously was the lead account director at RIESTER, which has managed the Chamber’s account for the last six years.
“I could not be happier to be joining the Chamber team at this critical time as the community faces new challenges,” said Carlson. “Park City has a long history of successfully balancing local quality of life issues while building a robust economy that generates jobs, visitor revenue and funds that pay for public services and support non-profits. We want to make good on the promise of Park City for every aspect of this community.”
Dan Howard will be the new VP of Communications, after serving as the Director since 2016. He was also the Director of Public Relations at Montage Deer Valley from 2010 to 2015.
“The Communications function of the Chamber has never been more important, as the community evolves, coming through Covid-19 and facing local development issues impacting Park City from all directions,” Wesselhoff said. “You are going to be hearing much more from the Chamber/Bureau on a wide range of topics, from affordable housing and healthcare to recreation, sustainability and infrastructure.”
The Chamber is also seeking applicants for two new Marketing Council member positions. One position will reside in the ‘Lodging’ category and the other is in the ‘Other Tourism’ category. The council provides oversight and guidance for the advertising programs run by the Bureau.
Council members will serve a three-year term starting on October 1 this year, and ending on September 30, 2024.
