Firefighters contain a 5-acre wildfire in Millcreek
MILLCREEK, Utah — The Millcreek Wildland Fire started in the mouth of Parley’s Canyon on Thursday afternoon.
The wildfire reached a total of five acres just off of Plateau Drive in Millcreek, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.
The Unified Fire Authority (UFA) said there were no evacuations and the fire is no longer spreading.
“Crews are actively securing the fire’s edge and putting out hotspots,” the UFA said in a tweet.
As of the last report at 3:30 pm, there were 40 UFA firefighters on scene along with two single-engine air tankers.
