44-year-old Murray man found in Strawberry Reservoir

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — At noon on Monday, the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a boater that was late to return from the water on Strawberry Reservoir.

The man’s wife had called, saying he was supposed to be back at the dock that morning at 9 am.

The man’s boat was found near Soldier Creek, about 100 yards from the shore, anchored and unattended.

Rescue crews eventually found the man, 50 feet deep in the water beneath his boat.
