Winter course registration is now available at the Utah Avalanche Center

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. — The Utah Avalanche Center (UAC) has begun to schedule classes for the upcoming winter season. Avalanche awareness classes are now available for registration on the UAC website.

The UAC subscribes to the mantra of ‘Know Before You Go” (KBYG). Knowledge is key to backcountry recreation in avalanche terrain.

UAC Park City avalanche awareness courses begin on December 1 with a Women’s Introduction to Avalanche Rescue Course. There is a Backcountry 101: Introduction to Avalanches course beginning on December 7 and an Introduction to Avalanche Rescue Course beginning on December 13.
