TOKYO, Japan. — Brigham Young University’s rugby standout Jordan Matyas and her Team USA teammates have exited the Olympic arena figuratively and literally. They were defeated in the quarterfinals by the women of Team Great Britain (GB) with a final score of 21 – 12. Team GB will join Fiji, New Zealand, and France in the semifinal round in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Matyas (new married name) enjoys dual citizenship and dual athletic careers. Her family, including her relatively recent, passed away mother, has roots in Canada. She had to choose to follow the path of her promising basketball trajectory or rugby picking the latter. Matyas’s scrum squad had a run of victories this week in Tokyo.

Additionally, there's been National Geographic, Patagonia, NCAA, USA Nordic and the United States Library of Congress, so I guess you could say this ain't my first rodeo.
