Summit County mask mandate ends April 10

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — Summit County will not extend a mask mandate past April 10th, the date the Utah legislature selected to end mask requirements across the state.

However, private businesses in Summit County may continue to require masks for patrons beyond that date. A recent survey of more than 400 local businesses that was conducted by the Park City Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau found that roughly 70% of local business owners planned to continue requiring masks once the mandate is lifted.

County officials ask that residents and visitors respect and comply with individual business requirements. The Summit County Health Department also encouraged the public to continue practicing health measures to prevent the spread and growth of COVID-19 in local communities.

This is a developing story.
