Summer camps: Sneak peek

PARK CITY, Utah. — Spring is here, which means summer is coming. Naturally, many parents’ thoughts turn to summer camp planning. 

Following is a roundup of local options that are now taking reservations for youngsters of all ages and interests (this list is not designed to be exhaustive).

KIDS’ SUMMER DAY CAMPS:

Summit Land Conservancy ages 7-12

Deer Valley  ages 2 months – 12 years

One Soccer Camp hosted by the Park City Soccer Club ages 5 – 16

Kimball Art Center ages 3 – 17 

 Park City MARC day camp held at the Park City City Park, ages 6 – 12

Woodward has early bird pricing until April 30th, ages 7-17 

Basin Rec. ages 3 – 12

Utah Olympic Park ages 6 – 16

Youththeater ages 4 – 17, at Egyptian Theater on Historic Main St.

Young Riders Mountain Biking ages 5 – 14

Park City Sailing Club ages 5 – 17, on Jordanelle Reservoir

National Ability Center also offers family camps as well as siblings/cousins camps and camps for kids with diabetes

Another Way Equestrian and nature ages 3 – 12 

Swaner Nature Center for ages 5-13, also hiring teen camp counselors, 

SUMMER SLEEPAWAY CAMPS:

YMCA Camp Roger ages 6 – 17 

YMCA Camp Mill Hollow ages 7 – 16

In addition to these, The Park City School District has expanded summer school options to address learning challenges resulting from COVID-driven circumstances. 

Waitlists have begun at a few camps listed above, and scholarships are available for most.

Many begin June 7th and all have COVID protocols in place parents.

The CDC has updated COVID summer camps guidelines.
