Pushing pause on Run-A-Muk

The Run-A-Muk is a popular dog park located halfway up Olympic Parkway in Summit County, UT. It’s free, it’s socially distanced, it’s fenced in and it’s open year-round.

Its popularity leads to poopularity (sure, that’s a word) which has led Basin Rec to temporarily shut it down until after mud season to allow revegetation to occur and prevent permanent vegetation damage caused by the two and the four-legged. Run-A-Muk will be closed from Monday, April 12th to Friday, May 14th.

On Thursday, April 15th, and again on Saturday, May 1st from 8 am to 1 pm the public are invited to come on in, bring their dogs, and scoop their troubles away at the annual cleanup. Since the Run A Muk will be closed during those dates, volunteers are asked to scan the QR code on the signage to register.
