Ski (or ride) on: PCMR extends season through April 11
PARK CITY, Utah. — Park City Mountain Resort announced this morning that the 2020-21 ski and ride season will last an additional week, through April 11. The longer season is a way of saying thank you to pass holders and guests for their continued support, for following safety protocols, and showing personal responsibility during this unprecedented season, according to a statement from PCMR.
Locals rejoiced – and prayed for snow.
“Let’s just hope we get enough snow to make it worth it!” said Parkite Shelby Hladon. “I’m optimistic that we will have another storm or two to make it worth Vail and Vail employees’ time and expense.”
PCMR began spreading the good news Monday afternoon, with some locals saying they first saw the news on the Epic app. Resort spokespeople did not respond to a request for comment about staffing – historically, seasonal employees’ contracts end when Canyons and PCMR close, a date set before the season begins.
