MIDWAY, Utah. — Ice Castles has been creating an incredible experience for visitors since 2011 and its primary goal is to make people smile. The mission is simple: “to create happiness, laughter, and unforgettable winter memories.” The castles in Midway open on Dec. 30 and you can purchase tickets online.
Ice Castles was founded by Californian Brent Christensen. With six children, he had to find a way to entertain his kids and get them out of the house, so he built the first Ice Castle in his front yard.
The four Ice Castles that go up annually in the U.S. are in Dillon, Colo., North Woodstock, N.H., Lake Geneva, Wis., and Midway, Utah, of course.
