$6,000 Anonymous Gift Appears at Summit County Sheriff’s Office

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — Christmas came early to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office today with an anonymous gift of $6,000 to be distributed to all employees. The donation came with a letter of appreciation signed “Mr. and Mrs. Anonymous.”

“It never ceases to amaze me how blessed we are to work in such a generous community,” Sheriff Justin Martinez said in a Facebook post.

Sheriff Martinez took the opportunity to celebrate all his employees as well.

“I would also be remiss if I didn’t express my personal gratitude to each of you for your integrity, professionalism, and dedication to serving this community with compassion and empathy. There is no doubt this donation is a direct reflection of those principles, regardless of your position at the Sheriff’s Office. You have represented yourself and this office very well and have made me proud. Stay safe throughout the holidays and thank you for your dedication to the citizens of Summit County,” Martinez said.
