According to a 2:30 a.m. update on Summit County’s Facebook page, it was determined that the fire posed no threat to homes or other structures in that area and crews waited until morning to make a final assessment. That same update indicated that the fire crews were optimistic about cooler temperatures and moisture aiding in suppressing the fire. Weber Canyon Road reopened by 5 a.m. that morning. No homes were lost.
