How to vote in Summit County for the 2020 General Election
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — The County Clerk’s office began mailing ballots out today, Oct. 13, 2020 for the Nov. 3 General Election. Here are four ways to cast your vote in Summit County this election season:
1. Early In-Person Voting
Summit County residents can vote early and in person at the Summit County Courthouse in Coalville at 60 N. Main St. in conference Room #1 on the dates listed below. Masks and social distancing are required.
Early Voting Opportunities
October 20 through 23: 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
October 24: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
October 26: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
October 27 through Oct 29 : 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
October 30: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
*This is the only Saturday to be able to vote early, in person
2. Ballot Drop Boxes
Summit County has been conducting by-mail elections for all active, registered voters since 2016. You can cast the ballot you received in the mail in one of seven drop boxes around the County. Here’s a list of all the places you can drop your ballot. Be sure to check that location’s business hours before you go to drop off your ballot.
3. By Mail
Cast your vote by placing your signed ballot in the mail. Ensure that your ballot is postmarked on or before November 2, 2020 otherwise your vote will not be counted.
4. In-Person Voting on Election Day
For anyone needing voting assistance such as a replacement ballot or same day registration, you can vote in person at the Summit County Fairgrounds from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m on Nov. 3, 2020. In an effort to keep election volunteers safe, the County Clerk’s Office is encouraging voters to cast their ballot via drop box or mail (postmarked on or before Nov. 2) if they are able.
