Live PC Give PC returns with goal of raising $5.5 million for local nonprofits

PARK CITY, Utah — Live PC Give PC is returning Friday for its 16th annual 24-hour community giving day, with organizers aiming to raise $5.5 million for local nonprofits.
Hosted by Park City Community Foundation, the annual fundraiser will include over 130 nonprofits and causes serving Park City, Summit County, and the Wasatch Back.
This year’s goal is to attract at least 6,800 individual donors, according to organizers.
“Live PC Give PC is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when our close-knit community comes together,” said Joel Zarrow, president and CEO of Park City Community Foundation, in a statement. “Their devotion and enthusiasm allow the nonprofits to raise the funds needed to run their critical programs and win big cash prizes.”
Participating organizations support a range of causes, including education, health care, environmental sustainability, arts and culture, and community well-being. For many of the participating organizations, Live PC Give PC is their largest fundraiser of the year.
Since launching in 2011, Live PC Give PC has raised more than $40 million for local nonprofits, according to the Community Foundation.
While donations primarily happen online, community members can also take part in events and activities around Park City throughout the day.
The Community Foundation’s Giving Day Fest will run from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Park City Library with Mountain Town Music, free tacos, donuts, hot chocolate, puppies from Nuzzles, games, and other activities.
Woodward Park City will host an event for school-aged children and teens from 4 to 8 p.m., with reduced-rate entry and additional activities.
An evening celebration for adults 21 and older is planned at High West Saloon from 8 p.m. to midnight for nonprofits, volunteers, and donors.
The full event schedule is available at LivePCGivePC.org.
Early giving is already open, but organizers say donors may want to wait until Nov. 6, when nonprofits can receive additional $10 donations during surprise power hours sponsored by Park City Mountain and the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation.
