Put your business on Park City’s nice list with TownLift’s Local Holiday Shopping Spree

Last year's spree drew more than 300,000 impressions and gave away more than $13,000 in local prizes. Add yours by Nov. 3 to be featured from the Nov. 5 launch.

PARK CITY, Utah — The countdown to holiday shopping season is on, and one of Park City’s favorite local traditions is gearing up for its sixth year. Before TownLift’s Local Holiday Shopping Spree opens to the public, the call is out for local businesses to put their gift certificates in the running.

The contest has grown into a seasonal staple that rewards readers for keeping their holiday dollars close to home. Last year, local businesses filled the prize pool with more than $13,000 in gift certificates, and the contest drew more than 300,000 impressions across TownLift’s news feed, social channels and daily email.

This year brings a fresh look. The contest will run on Best of Park City, a free local guide and business directory from TownLift, presented in partnership with the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. Every sponsor’s logo will appear on the contest page with a link to the business’s Best of Park City listing, putting it in front of locals and visitors who are actively looking for places to shop, eat and explore, long after the last gift is unwrapped.

Getting in on the action

Signing up as a sponsor takes about three minutes at bestofparkcity.com/contest/sponsor. Businesses sign in with an email link or Google account, describe their prize and its value, choose a prize package and upload a logo. Once TownLift approves the submission, sponsors receive an email with drop-off details.

Prizes must be gift certificates or items worth at least $100, and businesses must be within 25 miles of Town Lift Plaza. Prizes are listed from highest to lowest value on the contest page, so a bigger certificate earns a bigger spotlight. Sponsors are also encouraged to rally their own followers and email subscribers once the contest goes live.

TownLift is sweetening the pot, too, with a $500 Mountain Kind card to be spent at a local Park City business, plus social media highlights showcasing sponsors’ prizes throughout the contest.

Tuesday, Nov. 3: Commit by today to be featured on launch day.
Thursday, Nov. 5: The contest opens to the public.
Monday, Nov. 9: Last day to add a prize.
Friday, Nov. 13: Gift certificates due at TownLift.
Thursday, Nov. 19, at noon: Winners announced, just in time for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28.

Gift certificates can be dropped off at TownLift’s office in the Kiln Building, 1090 Center Drive, or mailed to TownLift, 1090 Center Drive, Park City, UT 84098. Label envelopes with the business name and “Holiday Shopping Spree.”
