Park Silly Sunday, dog pond, and Bonanza Flat begin seasonal closures
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City’s summer season is winding down, with one last Park Silly Sunday and seasonal closures coming to outdoor recreation spots around town.

The final Park Silly Sunday Market of the season will take over on Park City’s Historic Main Street on Sunday, Sept. 27.
The market runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving locals and visitors one final opportunity this year to browse the market’s vendors, grab food, and listen to live music along Main Street.
Willow Creek dog pond
For Park City’s four-legged residents, the end of summer also means the end of another swimming season.
The Willow Creek Park Pond will close for the season Monday, Sept. 28, according to Basin Recreation.
The closure will allow crews to continue bank work intended to improve access to the pond.
The seasonal closure applies to the pond, but the larger Willow Creek Park and dog park will not close.
Bonanza Flat trails
The final week of September is also the last opportunity this season to enjoy Bonanza Flat trails.
Mountain Trails Foundation is reminding hikers and other trail users that the seasonal closure begins Oct. 1 and includes Bonanza Trail Loop and Tall T.
The closure is intended to give wildlife additional space to prepare for the coming winter season.
“Please be a good outdoor and public land steward and respect this boundary for wildlife’s Season of Rest,” Mountain Trails Foundation said in a social media post.
The organization specifically noted that elk, moose, and deer depend on the area.
MTF is encouraging visitors to get out during the final week of September to enjoy Bonanza Flat and the changing seasons before the closure takes effect.
