Jeremy Ranch construction to resume, Homestead Road reduced to one lane

PARK CITY, Utah — After a months-long pause on construction, the I-80 Jeremy Ranch Bridges Reconstruction project is set to resume this week, bringing lane reductions and temporary changes to the Homestead Road trail.
Homestead Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction as crews return to the area. Drivers should expect delays and watch for construction signs while traveling through the work zone.
The Homestead Road trail will remain open, but its route will temporarily change. For approximately two weeks, trail users will be directed onto the road, with barrels separating the trail from vehicle traffic to provide a protected route through the construction area.
After about two weeks, the trail will move to another temporary route that will remain in place for the rest of the project.
What to expect
Construction will include:
- Lane closures on Homestead Road throughout the project
- Daytime work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with nighttime work as needed
- Trucks entering and leaving the work zone
- Increased noise, dust and vibration in the area
- Temporary changes to the Homestead Road trail
The project is also expected to require up to two weekends of full I-80 closures at Jeremy Ranch in 2027.
Drivers and trail users should allow additional travel time and follow posted signs and directions from crews as construction resumes.
