Run-A-Muk off-leash area to close weekdays for trail resurfacing

PARK CITY, Utah — The Run-A-Muk off-leash dog area will close on weekdays beginning Wednesday while crews complete trail resurfacing work, Basin Recreation announced.

The area will be closed Wednesday through Friday during the first week of construction and reopen for the weekend. After that, Run-A-Muk will be closed Monday through Friday and open on weekends until the project is complete.

Crews will resurface approximately 1.5 miles of trail. The work is intended to reduce trail damage during winter and muddy conditions and improve the trails’ long-term durability.

The weekday closures are in place to help keep trail users safe and allow contractors to complete the work efficiently.

An estimated date for the project’s completion and full reopening has not yet been announced. Officials said updates will be shared as work progresses.
