Park City Toastmasters continues streak of national recognition

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Toastmasters has earned the Smedley Distinguished Club Award, recognizing the organization for meeting membership growth goals months ahead of the campaign deadline.

The award is named for Ralph C. Smedley, founder of Toastmasters International, and is given to clubs that achieve membership growth goals during a designated campaign period.

The recognition continues a long record of honors for the Park City club, according to a recent news release. The organization said it has received top recognition in 14 of the past 15 years and earned the President’s Distinguished Club Award in 2026.

“This reflects the energy and commitment of our members and leadership team,” said Karen Stone, president of Park City Toastmasters. “People join Toastmasters to improve public speaking, but they stay because of the community. We’ve worked hard to create an environment where members challenge each other, support each other, and continue growing personally and professionally.”

Park City Toastmasters has also expanded its programming beyond traditional meetings, according to organizers, incorporating guest speakers, educational events, and other leadership development opportunities.

The club meets weekly at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Visitors are welcome, and information about meeting locations and membership is available through Park City Toastmasters.
