Newborns at Park City, Heber Valley hospitals to receive America 250 onesies

Intermountain Health is giving commemorative keepsakes to babies born July 1-7 as the nation marks its 250th anniversary

PARK CITY, Utah — Babies born this week at Intermountain Health Park City Hospital and Intermountain Heber Valley Hospital will receive a small keepsake tied to a once-in-a-generation national milestone.

Intermountain Health is giving commemorative America 250 onesies and certificates to babies born between July 1 and July 7 as the United States prepares to mark the 250th anniversary of its founding.

The gifts will be distributed at Intermountain hospitals across Utah, including to newborns at Park City and Heber Valley hospitals. In all, Intermountain plans to give out 1,000 custom-made onesies to babies born during the holiday week. Babies spending the Fourth of July in neonatal intensive care units will also receive the commemorative gift.

“Our caregivers love to celebrate all babies born in our hospitals and try to make every birth a special moment for the families,” said Amy Christensen, RN, regional chief nursing officer for Intermountain Health’s Utah hospitals. “When we can tie the celebration to a once-in-a-lifetime event like America 250, it’s even more special for everyone involved.”

The effort adds a patriotic touch to a milestone already marked by families in delivery rooms across the state. Intermountain Health delivered 27,300 babies at its Utah hospitals in 2025, according to the health system.
