SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County is inviting residents aged 55 and older to help shape the future of senior services and programs at two upcoming community meals.
The county will host a Senior Citizens Strategic Plan Dinner and Lunch this week, offering residents a chance to share feedback on current needs, future priorities, and how Summit County can better support older adults in the years ahead.
The request for input comes as senior services remain a growing topic across the community. TownLift has previously reported that the Park City Senior Center has seen a sharp increase in participation in recent years, with membership growing from about 70 people before 2020 to more than 600 by late 2024. The center has also been part of broader conversations about space, long-term planning, and the possibility of a new location for a senior center in Park City.
The events are free and open to all Summit County residents age 55 and older.
Residents may attend either of the following sessions:
Wednesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at the Ledges Event Center
Friday, June 19, at noon at the Park City Senior Center
Summit County officials said feedback gathered at this week’s meals will help guide planning for senior citizen needs now and into the future.
