Police log: Suspicious activity, DUIs, and bike theft

Monday, June 8

Incident: Suspicious

A mother reported that her son called her about a suspicious man on Victoria Circle. The suspicious male was a riding a scooter around the neighborhood and checking doors. This was at approximately 7 p.m.

Tuesday, June 9

Incident: DUI

At around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a driver in the Round Valley area was booked for a DUI.

Incident: Suspicious

At around 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening, a male slumped over his steering wheel, seemingly unconscious, was reported. The male then drove away.

Incident: Intoxication
A white male, aged 50-60, wearing a gray hoodie, was kicked out of an unspecified business and was loitering outside, causing problems.

Thursday, June 11

Incident: Drugs

Around 10:42 p.m. on Kearns Blvd, a Spanish-speaking person was reported to be smoking marijuana.

Friday, June 12

Incident: DUI

At approximately 1:29 early Friday morning, on SR 224 & Meadows Drive, a mile north of Holiday Ranch Road a dark colored minivan that looked like he needed
assistance was creating an obstruction.

Saturday, June 13

Incident: Suspicious

At around 5:11 p.m. on Norfolk Avenue, a caller reported a belligerent man dragging a dog and hitting street signs with sticks. He was reportedly an, ‘older man, wearing all black, [and] has a very long stick.]

Incident: DUI
Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an injury crash on Cutter Ln. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot after the crash. Witnesses were able to provide a general location of the area where the suspect was last seen and containment was established. UHP and a Park City units also responded to bolster the perimeter. The suspect was eventually located and taken into custody. He showed signs of impairment, performed poorly on SFST’s and was booked into the Summit County Jail.

Sunday, June 14

Incident: Welfare Check

Deputies performed a welfare check at the Park City MARC on Little Kate Road at approximately 8 p.m. for a man passed out, possibly intoxicated, outside the locker rooms. He was wearing a purple t-shirt and Hawaiian shorts.

Monday, June 15

Incident: Theft
The complainant reported that a bike was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot while the complainant was hiking the Overland Trail. The Complainant gave a description of the bike and its value. The complainant had no suspect information but did see a suspicious U-Haul in the area.
