Park City High School seniors gear up for Grad Night 2026 at Basin Recreation

PARK CITY, Utah — The more than 360 seniors graduating from Park City High School on June 5 will cap the evening with a celebration alongside their classmates at Grad Night.

“They have successfully made it to the finish line and deserve to celebrate their accomplishments!” wrote Tara Stocker, co-president of the Park City High School Parent Teacher Student Organization, in a statement.

The annual event is a drug- and alcohol-free party held on the night of graduation. It is financed entirely through tax-deductible donations, making it free for all graduates. Organizers rely on parents, local organizations and community businesses to fund the event each year.

This year, the Class of 2026 will celebrate at Basin Recreation with private access to the entire first floor of the building. Highlights include casino games, a hypnotist and a caricaturist. Graduates will also have opportunities to win prizes donated by parents, local organizations and businesses throughout the evening.

“The graduates have a blast hanging out with their whole class one last time,” said PTSO co-president Kim Abbett in the statement.

Grad Night runs Friday, June 5, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will be monitored by parent volunteers, Basin Recreation staff and hired security guards. Summit County Sheriff’s deputies will also be in the area to assist if necessary, as they are every year.

The PCHS PTSO aims to keep what it calls an “important celebratory tradition” going and is seeking community and parent support in several ways: online donations can be made here.
