PARK CITY, Utah — After a strange winter marked by little snow and plenty of mud, Run-A-Muk is set to reopen Monday, April 20.
The popular off-leash dog area closes each spring for about a month to protect trails and open space during mud season, when soft, wet ground is especially vulnerable to damage. With grasses growing and wildflowers beginning to emerge, the area is nearly ready to welcome dogs and their owners back.
Before reopening day, volunteers have one more chance to pitch in. A final spring cleanup is scheduled for Friday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to noon — one of the few opportunities to access Run-A-Muk during the seasonal closure.
