Party on the playa: Dos Olas closes the season on a high note

PARK CITY, Utah — What started as a weekly gathering quickly became one of Park City’s defining après-ski series this season. Party on the Playa, the outdoor events hosted on the Dos Olas Cantina patio and plaza at Pendry Park City, drew a lively mix of hotel guests, locals and skiers coming off the mountain each week, turning the open-air space into something closer to a ski beach than a traditional resort bar.
Central to the experience was a refurbished vintage gondola car transformed into a DJ booth, an instant focal point that gave the series a distinct sense of place and a playful nod to its mountain setting. High-energy music, a cantina-style atmosphere and a social energy that carried well into the afternoon made Party on the Playa one of the season’s most vibrant après scenes.

“Party on the Playa really became one of the season’s most vibrant après scenes in Park City,” a Pendry spokesperson said. “Every week, the Dos Olas patio and plaza came alive with DJs, an open-air cantina vibe, and a lively mix of hotel guests, locals and skiers coming off the mountain.”
With ski season now winding down, Dos Olas is entering its seasonal closure — but not for long. The restaurant is set to reopen in June, with summer programming that promises to carry the same playful, elevated energy that defined Party on the Playa into the warmer months. Expect seasonal specials, pop-up moments and fresh experiences designed to keep the cantina spirit alive beyond ski season. Additional details are still to come.
