Fastest Miners in school history rewrite Park City sprint records

Park City’s boys 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams set new school records, while Eli Warner became the fastest 100-meter runner in school history.

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City High School’s boys sprint squad is closing the track and field season with record-setting speed.

According to Miners Track, the Miners broke school records in the boys 4×100-meter and 4×200-meter relays during the past two weeks.

Eli Warner, Brian Roberts, Owen Osorio and Andres Max broke the boys 4×100 record.

In the 4×200 relay, Leo Gorder ran the first leg, followed by Warner, Osorio and Max. The team’s 4×200 time also set a new state record.

Warner also broke his own previously co-held 100-meter school record, making him the fastest sprinter in Park City High School history, according to Miners Track.

The records come as the Miners enter the final weeks of the season and begin sharpening for postseason competition. The team is scheduled to compete May 1-2 at the PACS BYU Invitational at BYU’s Clarence F. Robison Track and Field Complex in Provo.
